Woodland warriors - Sylva Fae
Woodland warriors - Sylva Fae
Ayla and her puppy, Willow loved playing out in the woods. One day, she asked her mummy if she could learn how to do bushcraft. Mummy agreed it was a great idea and gave Ayla some tasks to do around their camp. Ayla was keen to help but there were so many tasks to complete, that she wondered if she would ever get a chance to learn some bushcraft skills.
Join Ayla and Willow (and a sneaky little mouse) in the woods, as they have fun finding out what bushcraft is. You too can become a Woodland Warrior.
In association with Women in Bushcraft.
Bio
Sylva Fae is an award-winning children’s author from Lancashire, England. She spent twenty plus years teaching English, and now lives in Cheshire, juggling being a mum, writing children’s stories and keeping up with the crazy antics of their naughty rabbits.
Many years ago, Sylva and her husband had a dream to own their own woodland, and after a glorious summer visiting woods for sale, they found their own peaceful haven away from the stresses of everyday life. Adventures in their little woodland, inspired Sylva to write stories to entertain her girls, and the woodland is still her favourite place to ponder new story ideas. Spending all their spare time in the woods, it was inevitable that bushcraft and foraging became a favourite pastime for the whole family. Sylva now enjoys encouraging the next generation to get outdoors; she frequently runs storytimes and nature craft activities at The Bushcraft Show and Wild Festivals.
