This is the 7th layer of the VKPO all season 8 layer clothing system, which is standard issue to the modern Russian military. Composed of insulation and a water and wind resistant shell, this vest is typically worn on top of layer 6 or 5 when additional warmth is needed in extremely cold temperatures. The vest can also be layered with other clothing for added insulation.
